Wire Wrapping

Wire Wrapping –  Various techniques are used to wrap wire around wire, beads, stones, or cabochons to make earrings, pendants and other jewelry. Involves the use of tools to twist and bend wires together usually around gemstones.  There are specialized pliers and mandrills used to make the patterns.  Wire comes in various extruded shapes such as round, half round, and square – each with a specific use.  Wire can generally be either silver, gold, copper, or brass. These materials are soft and easily formed.

Wire Weaving – Different techniques are used to weave wire or strips into necklaces, bracletes and other jewelry forms.
